Clemson to face Maryland in the ACC Tournament

CLEMSON, SC-The Clemson men’s soccer team, seeded seventh, will play second-seeded Maryland on Wednesday, November 10 in the first round of the 18th Annual ACC Men’s Soccer Tournament in Cary, NC. Match time is set for 5:30 p.m.

Clemson has an 8-8-1 record overall and a 2-5 mark in the ACC. Steven Rhyne leads the Tigers in scoring with 11 goals and five assists for 27 points.

The Terrapins have a 13-4-1 record overall and a 4-2-1 record in league play. Jason Garey leads the Terrapins in scoring with 16 goals and 10 assists for 42 points. Abe Thompson has 10 goals and six assists for 26 points.

Maryland defeated the Tigers 2-0 in College Park, MD during the regular season on October 31.

This will be the 44th meeting between Clemson and Maryland on the soccer field. The Tigers lead the overall series 28-14-1.
