Clemson to face Furman Sunday

CLEMSON TO FACE FURMAN SUNDAY IN MEN’S SOCCER

CLEMSON, SC-The Clemson men’s soccer team will play host to Furman on November 9, at Historic Riggs Field. This will be the last home match for the Tigers this season.

Clemson will enter the match with a 8-7-2 record overall, while Furman has a 5-7-4 mark this season.

The Tigers defeated sixth-ranked North Carolina 1-0 last Saturday night in Chapel Hill, NC in Clemson’s last outing.

Clemson is led in scoring by Andre Borges with five goals and one assist for 11 points and senior Paul Souders has three goals and four assists for 10 points.

Furman is led in scoring by senior Scott Hoch with nine goals for 18 points and junior Cling Dempsey has four goals and three assists for 11 points.

This will be the 37th meeting between Clemson and Furman on the soccer field. The Tigers lead the overall series 31-4-1.
