Clemson to Face #6 North Carolina Tuesday Night

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s soccer team will play at #6 North Carolina Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill, NC.  The match can be seen on ESPN3. Clemson has a 7-2-1 record overall, and a 2-2-1 mark in the ACC.  Clemson is coming off a 2-1 overtime loss to second-ranked Notre Dame last Saturday night. Clemson is led in scoring by Thomas McNamara with five goals and five assists for 15 points.   Teammate Ara Amirkhanian has five goals and one assist for 11 points. North Carolina has a 3-1-5 record overall, and a very unusual 0-0-5 mark in the ACC.  The Tar Heels have tied Notre Dame, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and Duke this season.  The Tar Heels are led in scoring by Tyler Engel with three goals and one assist for seven points.   Raby George  has three goals for six points this season. This will be the 57th meeting between Clemson and North Carolina in men’s soccer.  Clemson leads the overall series 27-23-6.
