Clemson To Compete in Championship of America In 4x200m Relay

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Clemson women’s track and field team will conclude competition at the 2002 Penn Relays on Saturday. The Lady Tigers’ 4x200m relay team will compete in the Championship of America after qualifying with a time of 1:36.80.

Clemson’s Jamine Moton placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 61.81m/202’9″, an automatic qualifying mark. She also competed in the shot put, placing fourth with a mark of 15.80m/51’10”. Jackie Hudgins recorded a mark of 14.07m/46’2″ in the college division shot put to place fifth.

In the triple jump championship division, Gisele Oliveira placed fifth in the event with her mark of 12.49m/40’11.75″.

The Lady Tigers’ 4x400m relay team also competed in the college women’s division, recording a time of 3:46.05.
