Clemson Tennis to Host Charity Tournament

CLEMSON, SC-The Clemson men’s and women’s tennis teams will hold a charity doubles tennis tournament on Sunday, November 15 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. All funds raised will benefit the Greenville Children’s Hospital Camp Courage Program.

All levels of tennis players, from beginner to advanced, are invited to participate in the tournament., which features men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Any donation given the Camp Courage will cover the entry fee for the tournament, and each participant will receive a T-Shirt . A meal will also be provided.

Camp Courage was founded in 1994 to create an unforgettable recreation experience for children with cancer or blood disorders – at no cost to their families. Before Camp Courage, many children were unable to attend a sleepover camp because of their medical problems. Children now can participate in a normal camping environment and still remain under medical supervision. Qualified medical personnel from the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Center of The Children’s Hospital stay with the children at camp.

“This will be a day of fun, great food and a great time playing tennis with the Clemson tennis teams,” said women’s tennis head coach Nancy Harris.
