Clemson Tennis Players Participate in ITA Men’s All-American Championships

TULSA, OK – Four Clemson men’s tennis players participated in the prequalifying tournament of the ITA Men’s All-American Championships in Tulsa, OK Saturday and Sunday.

The Tigers that participated in this tournament were Ayrton Wibowo, Dominique Maden, Hunter Harrington, and Austin Ansari.  These four players participated in a field of 256 players and the final 16 players in this draw advanced to the qualifying tournament of the ITA Men’s All-American that will begin on Monday, October 1.

Harrington (Clemson) 6-4, 6-3The Qualifying Tournament of the ITA All-American Championships begins Monday, October 1.  The Tigers’ Gerardo Meza will begin play with a match against Alejandro Sanchez of Tulsa at 1:00 p.m. Monday.  Two Clemson doubles team will also compete in the Qualifying Tournament.  Yannick Maden and his brother Dominique Maden will compete as well as Ayrton Wibowo and Gerardo Meza.The players in the Qualifying Tournament will be vying for spots in the ITA All-American Championships Main Draw.  Dominique Maden has already landed a spot in the Main Draw and is one of 48 singles player in the country to do so.
