Clemson Swimming Teams Honored by the CSCAA

CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson men’s and women’s swimming teams were both honored by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) by posting high GPAs as a team as announced the CSCAA Friday.

The Clemson women’s team was the fifth highest in the nation with a 3.52 GPA for the 2004-05 academic year. This mark was the highest among Atlantic Coast Conference teams.

The Clemson men’s team was the 13th highest nationally with a cumulative 3.16 GPA for the 2004-05 academic year, the third highest in the ACC.

Tommy Rappold and Kim Routh were named to the CSCAA Academic All-America Honor Roll. To be selected to this team, a swimmer or Diver has to record a 3.50 GPA or above and participate in the NCAA Swimming and Diving meet. Nicole Carlton and Buddy Reed were named to the honorable mention Academic All-America Honor Roll.
