Clemson Swimming And Diving Holds Orange And White Intersquad Meet

CLEMSON, S.C. – Dual winners Liz Dwors, Courtney Ellis, Chris Moro and Will Rogers led the Orange Team to a 270-247 win over the White Team at the Clemson swimming and diving team’s annual intersquad meet, held Saturday afternoon in the McHugh Natatorium.

Dwors, a freshman from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, won the 200 free in 1:52.02 and the 500 free in 4:58.01. Ellis, a freshman from Edmonds, WA, took first place in both the 100 breast (1:05.89) and 200 breast (2:22.52). For the men’s team, senior Chris Moro of Greenville, SC, won the 200 free with a time of 1:43.92 and the 500 free in 4:49.02. Junior Will Rogers of West Columbia, SC, placed first in the 100 fly with a time of 52.02 and the 100 free with a time of 47.58.

Dual winners for the White Team included freshman Jenna Burtch of Holland, MI, who won the 50 free (23:95) and 100 free (52.23), and sophomore Sean Wallace of Palm Harbor, FL, who won the 200 IM (1:58.56) and 200 breast (2:16.33).

Clemson will open the regular season October 30, when the Tigers will face Virginia at 1 p.m. in the McHugh Natatorium.
