Each year, the Student-Athlete Enrichment Programs and the Athletic Department recognize student-athletes for their achievement across the course of the academic year. The awards are based on academic achievement, leadership and community service.

This year’s award winners are as follows:

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR AWARDThe Athletic Director’s Academic Excellence Award is presented to senior student-athletes that have been on the honor roll for seven consecutive semesters.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTThe Academic Achievement Award is presented to student-athletes for their significant and consistent academic achievement.

MICHELIN CAREER AWARENESS AWARDThe Michelin Career Awareness Award is presented to a senior student-athlete that has developed the necessary skills for career enhancement.

ACC TOP SIX AWARDThe Atlantic Coast Conference stresses to its member schools the importance of student-athletes giving back to the community through service. Annually, the ACC office recognizes six athletes from each school that have been most involved in community service.

BILL D’ANDREA SERVICE AWARDThis award recognizes a member of the senior class who has been an excellent student, a leader and someone who has given back to the community.

DR. CECIL O. HUEY, JR. AWARDThe Cecil Huey Award is presented annually to a member of the senior class who has been an outstanding athlete, who has a distinguished academic record, and who is recognized by coaches and peers as a person of high ethical standards and who will be pursuing graduate studies.

ACADEMIC HALL OF FAMEThe Academic Hall of Fame distinction is presented to senior student-athletes that have been selected to earn a post-graduate scholarship or award.

ACADEMIC TEAM AWARDThe Academic Team Award is presented to the men’s team and the women’s team with the highest GPA for a given semester.
