Clemson Set for ACC Media Day

2018 ACC MEDIA DAY

CLEMSON’S PRESS CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD FROM 4:45 P.M.-5:15 P.M. ET ON WEDNESDAY, OCT. 24

Clemson basketball will enter 2018 ACC Operation Basketball as the No. 22 ranked team in the country, according to the preseason Associated Press top 25 poll released on Monday afternoon.

The Tigers, coming off just its fourth appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16, will be represented in the 2018 event by head coach Brad Brownell and graduate guards Shelton Mitchell and Marcquise Reed. Last season, Reed led the Tigers with 15.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and finished second on the team with 116 assists – just three shy of Mitchell. Reed also posted 553 total points in 2017-18 (14th-most in program history for a single season) and earned All-ACC second-team honors.

Mitchell led the way with 119 dimes last year, while posting 12.2 points and 3.0 rebounds per contest. Mitchell earned All-ACC Tournament second-team honors after scoring 21 points and 18 points, respectively, in ACC tournament games against Boston College and Virginia.

Brownell won his 300th career game last year during the fall semester non-conference slate of games against Florida in the Orange Bowl Classic. He led the Tigers to program-tying 25 wins last year, including a new program record 11 wins in ACC play.
