Clemson Rowing Participates in Community Service Project

Atlanta, GA – On Saturday, February 4th, 38 members of the Clemson Women’s Rowing Team traveled to Atlanta for the Sam Robb 5k Run and to visit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. Team members were joined by alumni, who all donned purple in support of former teammate, Lydia Hassell’s (Clemson Alum ’09) fight with cancer. The 5k run is in memory of former Clemson rower, Liz Robb’s brother who battled Osteosarcoma for many years. The run raises money and awareness for childhood cancer research. In addition to participating in the run, the rowing team helped with pre and post-race organization, visited the children’s hospital, and raised over $2200.00 for the Sam Robb Fund.
