Clemson Reopens Search for Women’s Track Coach

June 22, 1999

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson University Athletic Director Bobby Robinson today announced that following a review of the department’s search for a head women’s track coach, the athletic department has reopened the position and is initiating a national search.

“I am pleased with Athletic Director Robinson’s decision to conduct a broader search because it reemphasizes the University’s commitment to equal opportunity by considering all qualified candidates,” said President Constantine W. Curris.

Robinson also announced that the search committee would include chairperson Linda White, Senior Women’s Administrator, NCAA Faculty Representative Dr. Cecil Huey, and athletic department staff members Tim Match, Brenda Rabon, Barbara Kennedy-Dixon and Larry Greenlee.

The committee will initiate the search as soon as possible and is charged to have a recommendation for Robinson by July 21, 1999. Ralph White will serve as interim head coach for the Clemson University women’s track program during the search.
