Clemson Players Ranked in Preseason ITA Men’s Tennis Poll

CLEMSON, SC–Two Clemson men’s tennis players are ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Preseason Poll as announced by the organization Monday afternoon.

Yannick Maden is ranked 74th in the preseason singles poll, while he and teammate Zachary Rigsby are ranked 46th as a doubles team.

Maden played at number-two singles for the Tigers last season and had a 14-6 record overall in singles play. He was also 7-4 in the ACC in 2011. Maden won nine doubles matches last season.

Rigsby was second on the team last season in doubles victories with 14. After a few individual tournaments this fall, Clemson will start the 2012 season on January 15. On that day, Clemson will play host to the College of Charleston and The Citadel in a doubleheader to open the season.
