Clemson Opens Fall Racing at Head of the Hooch

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson rowing team is set to open its 2018 fall slate of races this weekend at the Head of the Hooch regatta in Chattanooga, Tenn. The Tigers will field a total of 17 boats across eight events of the 5,000-meter head racing: the Championship eights, fours and pairs, the College and Club novice eights and fours, and the Open eights, fours and pairs.

The first Clemson boats will race at approximately 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, as two novice crews will get their first taste of competition as Tigers in the College and Club novice 4+. Racing continues for Clemson just after 1:00 p.m. with one entry in the Championship 8+. The rest of Saturday afternoon will see the Tigers field four boats in the College and Club novice 8+ at approximately 2:30 p.m., one boat in the Championship pairs two hours later and finally three boats in the Championship 4+ around 5:15 p.m.

On Sunday, two Tiger boats will hit the water in the Open pairs at approximately 12:40 p.m., and Clemson action will continue with three entries in the Open 8+ around 1:15 p.m. The Tigers wrap up racing at 1:45 p.m. with one entry in the Open 4x.
