Clemson Men’s Track And Field Team Competes At Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA, GA – The Clemson men’s track and field team competed at the Georgia Tech Invitational this weekend. Jacey Harper and Sultan Tucker eclipsed the NCAA qualifying standards for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 100m dash and 110m hurdles, respectively. Harper recorded a provisional qualifying time of 10.29 en route to winning the 100m dash,while Tucker provisionally qualified with a time of 13.79 in the 1110m hurdles.

Todd Matthews, Shauntae Lovings and Andy Giesler competed in the 110m hurdles. Matthews recorded a preliminary time of 14.23 while Lovings ran a 14.37 and Giesler recorded a time of 15.19. Tony Washington placed eighth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 52.25, and the 4x400m relay team finished second in 3:09.50. Malcolm Reynolds took third in the high jump with a mark of 6’9″, and Terrance McDaniel was sixth with the same mark. Giesler finished fifth in the discus with a mark of 163’6″, eighth in the javelin throw (198’11”) and 15th in the long jump (21’10”).
