Clemson Men’s Track And Field Competes At Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet

BLACKSBURG, VA – The Clemson men’s track and field team competed at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet held this weekend. Dwight Thomas provisionally qualified in the 60m and 200m dashes to lead the Tigers.

Thomas recorded a time of 6.68 in the finals of the 60m to finish second and provisionally qualify for the NCAA Championships. His time ranks him fourth on Clemson’s all-time list in that event. Thomas was the top collegiate finisher in the 200m, recording a season-best time of 21.00 that ranks fourth on Clemson’s all-time list. Jacey Harper placed third in the 60m dash with a time of 6.73, while Larry Griffin posted a fifth-place finish in 6.79 after recording a season-best time of 6.75 in the preliminaries. Harper and Griffin also competed in the 200m dash, finishing third and ninth with times of 21.55 and 22.05, respectively. Ian Potter placed third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.03. Brit Barrow recorded a season-best mark of 49’7″ in the triple jump to finish second among collegiate competitors.
