FAYETTEVILLE, AR – Clemson men’s track and field swept the Southeast Region honors as Bob Pollock was named region coach-of-the-year and Dwight Thomas earned region male athlete-of-the-year accolades. This year’s honor is Pollock’s 13th region or district coach-of-the-year title. The 1992 Indoor National Coach-of-the-Year is in his 14th year at Clemson. During his tenure, Pollock has led the Tigers to 20 ACC Championships, including 11 ACC Indoor titles, as well as 11 top 25 NCAA indoor finishes.

Redshirt freshman Dwight Thomas (Burtonsville, MD) earned region male athlete-of-the-year honors after winning the 60m dash and 60m hurdles at the 2002 ACC Indoor Championships. Thomas is also the only athlete in the nation to qualify for this year’s NCAA Championships in four events (60m dash, 60m hurdles, 200m dash, 1600m relay). He will compete in all but the 200m relay this weekend.
