Clemson Men’s Tennis To Participate in Fall Tournaments

CLEMSON, SC–Five Clemson men’s tennis players will compete in fall events this weekend and next week as part of the fall season.

Four Clemson players will be competing in the ITA All-American tournament in Tulsa, OK. The All-American tournament is a large tournament that consists of three stages and over 300 collegiate players from around the country.

The first stage is the pre-qualifying segment. Clemson junior Zachary Rigsby, sophomore Dominique Maden and freshman Hunter Harrington were chosen to play in the pre-qualifying field. Play will begin Saturday October 1st with these first round pre-qualifying matches:

Dominique Maden vs. Jared Spiker of Hawaii-Manoa, 9:30 am, Saturday

Zachary Rigsby vs. Pedro Zanotelli of Texas-San Antonio, 11am, Saturday

Hunter Harrington has a first round bye and will play winner of Milo Hauk of St. John’s and Kirstian Krocsko of Purdue at 2:30pm Saturday.

The players must win four matches to advance to the qualifer stage, 3 if the player has a first-round bye.

Clemson sophomore, Yannick Maden, who is ranked 74th in the pre-season ITA rankings, will participate in the qualifer draw which begins Monday. The qualifer draw will be released once the pre-qualifier matches end.

Sophomore Gerardo Meza will participate in the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational this weekend in the individual tournament against surrounding universities.
