Clemson Men’s Soccer To Host Gardner-Webb On Wednesday

Clemson, SC – The Clemson men’s soccer team will host Gardner-Webb on Wednesday night at 7:00 at Historic Riggs Field. The Tigers enter Wednesday’s home match with a 10-3 overall record and having won nine out of their last ten games. The meeting will be the first between the two schools in men’s soccer.

Clemson is ranked eighth by Soccer America, and ninth in the NSCAA according to the polls released October 23. The Tigers are ranked 10th in the Soccertimes.com poll.

Clemson is led in scoring by junior Dimelon Westfield who has eight goals and three assists for 19 points. Westfield scored three goals in leading the Tigers to a 6-1 win over Davidson on Sunday afternoon. Ian Fuller has six goals and five assists for 17 points and had a goal and two assists against Davidson. Doug Warren has a 0.96 goals allowed average. He has allowed only 11 goals in 1,034 minutes of play this season.

The Tigers have an all-time home record of 343-56-22, including a 274-53-20 mark at Riggs Field. When Clemson plays a non-conference home game, the Tigers have a 280-26-14 record. Head Coach Trevor Adair has a 126-61-15 career record and a 92-37-10 mark in seven years at Clemson.
