Clemson Men’s Cross Country Finishes Second At Auburn Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s cross country team finished second at the Auburn Invitational held Saturday at the Indian Pines Golf Course cross country course. Southern Methodist won the meet with 52 points, while the Tigers finished in second place with 97 points. Georgia placed third (150 pts.), Auburn was fourth (183 pts.) and Virginia Tech rounded out the top five with 185 points.

Junior Clay Pendleton also competed for the Tigers on Saturday, placing 63rd with a time of 25:42.18 over the 8K course.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Nov. 2 in Atlanta, GA, at the 2002 ACC Cross Country Championships.
