QUICK FACTS In Clemson’s most recent game it overcame a 19-point first half deficit to gain a 60-50 win over NC State. It was the greatest comeback win for the Clemson program against an ACC team in Littlejohn Coliseum. It was Clemson’s best comeback in any game since overcoming a 20-point deficit at Maryland in 2007-08. Demontez Stitt led Clemson in scoring in the win over NC State with 17 points. He scored seven points inside the last five minutes. He had nine points inside the last five minutes at Maryland, so he now has 16 points inside the last five minutes of Clemson’s last two games. Seniors Stitt or Jerai Grant have led, or at least been tied for the team lead in scoring in nine consecutive games. Stitt has a 44/8 assist/turnover ratio since he came back from knee surgery in December. In six ACC games this year he has a 28/6 assist/turnover ratio, best in the ACC. Clemson starting guards Demontez Stitt and Andre Young are a combined 25/4 in terms of assist/turnover ratio over the last two games. Bryan Narcisse has made 14 of his last 21 field goals over the last four games. He had nine points and five rebounds in a career high 33 minutes in the win over NC State. Florida State comes to Clemson with a #22 ranking in AP. It will be Clemson’s first game of the year against a top 25 team. Clemson is 3-4 lifetime against top 25 Florida State teams. Clemson has won eight of the last nine meetings with Florida State in games played in Littlejohn Coliseum. Clemson has already clinched a winning record in the month of January. The Tigers are 4-2 in the month entering Saturday’s contest. It is just the second winning January for the Clemson program since 1996-97. Saturday’s game with Florida State is a sellout. Three of the last five home games are already sold out. Only one of the first 20 Clemson opponents has shot at least 50 percent against the Tigers. That was Maryland who made 24-48 from the field against the Tigers last Saturday. If Clemson can gain victory on Saturday, Bill Foster as the only Clemson coaches to start 3-3 in ACC play.
