Clemson Lady Tigers Set for Trip to Nationally Ranked Miami

CLEMSON, SC – Itoro Coleman and the Clemson Lady Tigers will travel to Coral Gables, FL for a contest with the #22/#25 Miami Hurricanes on Friday night at 8:30 p.m. at the BankUnited Center. The game will be televised live on Fox Sports Network and be available around the state on the radio on the Clemson Tiger Sports Network.

Clemson (8-9, 1-1 ACC) travels to Miami (16-1, 2-0 ACC) having won two of its last three, including a road win at NC State last week. The two schools have a history playing in close games, and each of the past three meetings have been decided by six points or fewer.

Clemson defeated Miami, 73-72, in overtime last season in Clemson. Miami went on to advance to the finals of the WNIT. Miami will be the fourth ranked opponent in the last seven games for Clemson, and the first in a block of five games that feature four ranked opponents.

This will be the second straight game on television for the Lady Tigers, who are led in scoring by Sthefany Thomas at 13.1 ppg. Senior Kirstyn Wright is second at 12.1 ppg.

The Lady Tigers, led primarily by Wright and Thomas, lead the ACC in three-point field goal percentage, and have made 17-39 (.436) as a team in the first two ACC games. Clemson is also second in the league in three-pointers made at 6.5 per contest.

Clemson has a quick turnaround, as they will return home to play #13/#13 Maryland at 3:00 pm on Sunday.
