Columbia, SC–Clemson’s Carlos Alvarez defeated College of Charleston’s Omer Abramovich 0-6, 7-6 ret. (inj.) to claim the championship in the B-1 Flight at the South Carolina Fall Invitational on October 15.

On the way to the championship, Carlos Alvarez defeated Austin Roebuck (GA Tech) 6-3, 6-0, Bastian Maucher (Troy) 6-2, 6-3, Mark Gattiker (South Florida) 7-5, 6-1, Jason Morgenstern (Wake Forest) 6-2, 6-2 before defeating Abramovich.

Other Clemson Results: A-1 Singles: Paul Koenke, def. Steven Dean (Char. Southern) 6-0,6-3. Daniel Plasma (UAUM) def. Koenke 6-2,7-5.

A-1 Doubles: Koenke and Alvarez def. Alex Fridzon-George Kernodle (Wofford) 8-4 Koenke-Alvarez def. Henning Hipp-Alex Svigeli (South Florida )9-8 Pedro Campos-Yevgeny Supeko (So. Car.) def. Alvarez-Koenke 8-5 in the semis.

A-2 Singles: Gera Boryachinskiy def. Jean Vaccarin (JKST) 6-0, 6-0 Dragan Gisercic (SC State) def. Borychinskiy 6-3, 6-3.
