Clemson Finishes 12th At Furman Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Clemson women’s cross country team competed at the Furman Invitational in Greenville on Saturday. The team placed 12th in the 22-team field with 328 points. Western Kentucky won the meet with 56 points, followed by East Tennessee State with 59 points. Furman placed third with 97 points.

Senior Anne Stowell of Charlotte, NC, led the team with a eighth-place finish, running the course in 18:43. Freshman Diane Schillow of Landsdale, PA, placed 43rd with a time of 20:06, and sophomore Abbey Hartman of Ocean View, NJ, was 75th with a time of 21:02. Freshman Helena Janecic placed 99th for the Tigers, turning in a time of 22:06. Freshman Stephanie Zabel placed 117th with a time of 32:41.

The Clemson men’s and women’s teams will compete in the Clemson Invitational, Saturday, October 16, in Jervey Meadows.
