Clemson Notes:

  • Clemson (5-0) defeated Louisiana Tech in overtime, 78-67, on Nov. 22 at Littlejohn Coliseum. Junior Nelly Perry scored 23 points and dished out a career-best eight assists, while sophomore Aliyah Collier picked up her first double-double of the year with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
  • The Tigers are 5-0 for the first time under Audra Smith and the first time since the 1998-99 season. Clemson opened the year 11-0 in 1998-99.
  • Freshman Kobi Thornton was named ACC Rookie of the Week for Nov. 14-20, after posting her first career double-double (16 points, 11 rebounds) against Georgia Southern on Nov. 16.
  • Perry leads Clemson in scoring with a 14.2 points per game average and also is first on the team in assists with 19. Her 2.4 assist-to-turnover ratio is tied for ninth-best among all ACC players.
  • Collier is second on the team in scoring, averaging 11.3 points per game, and leads the Tigers in rebounding with a 7.5 rebounds per game average. Collier is shooting .593 from field goal range (16-for-27), which ranks eighth in the ACC.
  • Just behind Collier is Thornton, who averages 10.2 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game, while leading the team with seven blocked shots. The post from Shellman, Ga. has 20 offensive rebounds on the season, which ranks third in the ACC. Thornton’s .595 field goal percentage (22-for-37) is seventh in the league, while her 1.4 blocks per game average ranks ninth.
  • Sophomore Danielle Edwards holds the team lead in steals, with 20, and minutes played per game, with a 34.0 average. The Perry Hall, Md. native is tied for the ACC lead in steals per game (4.0) and ranks third in free throw percentage (.929, 13-for-14).

Series Information vs. Loyola (Chicago):

  • Thursday’s game will be the first ever between Clemson and the Ramblers in women’s basketball.
