Clemson Notes:

  • Sophomore Nelly Perry is averaging 15.3 points per game (7th in the ACC) and 16.7 points per game in ACC play; she has scored in double-figures thirteen times this season.
  • Perry scored a career-high 23 points (8-19 fg, 6-10 ft) in 36 minutes of action at Virginia Tech on Monday, Jan. 18.
  • Perry has increased her scoring average from 6.7 points per game as a freshman to 15.3 points per game as a sophomore, the greatest scoring increase for a sophomore in the ACC this season.
  • Freshman Aliyah Collier scored a career-high 18 points (7-11 fg, 2-2 3fg) vs. Georgia Tech on Jan. 24.
  • Collier has scored eight or more points in five out of six ACC games and is the Tigers’ second leading scorer in ACC play (10.5 points per game).
  • Freshman Danielle Edwards was named ACC Rookie of the Week (Dec. 28) following her 20-point performance in a win over UNC-Asheville on Dec. 21; she is the first Clemson rookie to garner the award since 2012-13.
  • Edwards ranks sixth in the ACC in steals/game (2.1) and seventh in free throw % (.804).
  • Clemson has utilized twelve different starting lineups this season and only Danielle Edwards has appeared in every lineup.

Opponent & Series Notes:

  • Clemson has only played at Louisville once in the history of the women’s basketball program, a game the Tigers won 78-77 on Jan. 31, 1981.
  • Clemson holds a 3-1 record all-time against Louisville with the two teams meeting last season for the first time since 1993; Clemson won all three matchups prior to last year’s contest.
  • Louisville defeated Clemson last season on Feb. 12, 2015 by a score of 81-49 in the two teams’ first meeting in ACC play.
