Clemson defeats Virginia Tech 4-3 in men’s tennis

CLEMSON, SC–Paul Koenke defeated Nico Delgado at number four singles 6-4, 7-6 in clinching the match and leading 14th-ranked Clemson to a 4-3 win over Virginia Tech in a men’s Atlantic Coast Conference tennis match at Clemson, SC Friday afternoon.

With the win, Clemson improves to 18-5 overall and 3-3 in the ACC. Virginia Tech falls to 12-8 overall and 3-3 in league play.

Under Head Coach Chuck Kriese, Clemson has won 87 of 105 ACC matches at home since 1978.

The Tigers will play host to 11th-ranked Virginia Sunday afternoon in another Atlantic Coast Conference match.
