CLEMSON, SC – Paul Souders scored one goal and had one assist in leading 24th-ranked Clemson to a 3-0 win over Stetson in a men’s intercollegiate soccer match at Clemson, SC Wednesday night.

Clemson improves to 4-2-1 overall, while Stetson falls to 2-4 this year. The Tigers are ranked 24th in the latest Soccer America poll.

Clemson scored first at the 48:48 mark when Paul Souders. Souders sent an eight-yard shot into the back of the net. The Tigers added another goal at the 52:58 point in the game. James Georgeff sent a pass to Souders who crossed the ball to Carlton Hughes. Hughes sent a shot from 12 yard shot into the goal.

Clemson’s third goal came at the 67:48 mark when John Cooper goal. This was Cooper’s first goal of the season.

“Paul Souders also played a great game tonight. Overall, we had our best overall performance of the season tonight. I was well pleased with the effort and we concentrated for all 90 minutes. We grew as a team tonight.”
