“I knew it would take a great goal to beat South Carolina,” said Clemson Head Coach Todd Bramble. Our goalkeeper, Ashley Phillips played a great game. She has a calming effect on our team when things are out of control. Britten Meyer also was huge for us. I couldn’t ask for more. It was a great crowd, a great goal, and a big win over our rival. Our speed is one of our weapons and that was a factor tonight.”

“Courtney gave me a great ball,” said Smith. “I turned and one touched the ball and my shot found the net. I am happy to be able to score in this game and everyone is real excited about the win.”
