Clemson defeats Northern Arizona

SEDONA, AZ-Jarmaine Jenkins won his 18th match of the season in leading Clemson to a 6-1 win over Northern Arizona in a men’s intercollegiate tennis match at Sedona, AZ Monday evening.

With the win, Clemson improves to 15-6 overall, while the Lumberjacks fall to 7-6 this season. The Tigers have won 10 of their last 14 matches.

Jenkins defeated his opponent, Jeremy Coll 6-1, 6-3 at number two singles. He now has an 18-6 record overall in singles competition this season.

Jenkins and his doubles partner Nathan Thompson defeated Thibault Schram and Lew DeLeon at number one doubles 8-3. Jenkins and Thompson has a 16-13 record in doubles play.

The Tigers will continue their road trip later this week as Clemson will play at Arizona State on Friday and Arizona on Sunday.
