Clemson Defeats N.C. State 6-1 in Men’s Tennis

CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson won five of the six singles matches and swept the doubles matches as the 24th-ranked Tigers defeated N.C. State 6-1 in an Atlantic Coast Conference men’s tennis match Saturday.

With the win, the Tigers improve to 19-10 overall, 6-2 in the ACC. N.C. State falls to 12-10 overall, 3-5 in league play.

Clemson’s Josh Goffi won his 29th match of the year as he defeated Keith Salmon 6-3, 6-1 at number-three singles. Goffi is 29-16 overall in singles matches this season.

At number one singles, Roberto Bracone of N.C. State defeated Ryan Bauer 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. Bracone now has a 18-4 record this season in singles play.

Both Clemson and N.C. State will participate in the men’s Atlantic Coast Conference Tennis Tournament on April 23-25 in Atlanta, GA.
