Clemson Notes:

  • Clemson (10-11, 5-7 ACC) is coming off of a 5-2 road win over Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla. on April 16. The Tigers won the doubles point, and Marie-Alexandre Leduc, Ayan Broomfield, Fernanda Navarro and Constanza Gorches won in singles play against the Seminoles.
  • Sophomore Marie-Alexandre Leduc is 11-8 in dual singles matches and 7-5 in ACC play so far this season. She is 7-3 in her last 10 matches, which include the previous six matches at the No. 1 singles position.
  • Leduc and fellow sophomore Ayan Broomfield are 17-4 overall in doubles, including 12-3 in dual matches and 8-2 in ACC play, so far this season. The pair has won three-straight contests, and is 4-1 against nationally-ranked opponents.
  • Junior Daniela Ruiz and sophomore Fernanda Navarro are 11-1 in dual doubles matches and 8-1 in conference play. The pair is on a seven-match winning streak.
  • Two Tigers earned ACC Player of the Week honors in two consecutive weeks earlier this season. Broomfield garnered the award on March 6, and freshman Constanza Gorches did so on March 13.
  • Clemson’s 2017 roster is made up of one junior, five sophomores and two freshmen.
  • Head Coach Nancy Harris is in her 20th season with the Tigers. In her first 19 seasons at the helm of the program, Harris took the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament 17 times, including 15-consecutive years from 2002-16.

Series Information vs. Boston College

  • Clemson is 10-1 in the series against Boston College, in which the first match was played in 2006.
  • Last season, the Eagles defeated the Tigers on March 4, 2016 in Boston, to earn their first win in the series.

Series Information vs. Notre Dame:

  • Notre Dame has a 9-5 all-time advantage in the series against the Tigers, in which the first match was played in 1992. Clemson has a 3-1 record against the Irish since Notre Dame joined the ACC three years ago.
  • The Tigers and Irish met twice in 2016, a 4-3 Clemson win on April 8 in Notre Dame, Ind., and a 4-1 Notre Dame win on April 21 in the second round of the ACC Tournament in Cary, N.C.
