About the Program Thank you for showing interest in Clemson University Cheerleading program. The spirit program at Clemson University consist of two full cheerleading squads. These two cheerleading squads, an Orange squad (Co-ed) and a White squad (All-Female team), support our football and men’s and women’s basketball teams. These athletes also show Clemson pride by competing nationally against the best dance and cheerleading programs in the country. The Cheerleading program is very visible throughout the state of South Carolina. Cheerleading at Clemson University is a fun, exciting role that is dedicated to the community.  We will make many appearances in and around Clemson area for various charity. The main goal of the program is to promote spirit at Clemson University’s athletic events. Whether it is leading 80,000 screaming fans in Death Valley or running the traditional Clemson flag for the ‘‘most exciting 25 seconds in college football,’’ the cheerleaders and Rally Cats promote Clemson spirit at all times!

Try-out Dates/Process  Try-out dates will be take place in April and again in September in the Indoor Field Track at Clemson.  We will hold a spring tryout clinic from 5-9 P.M on April 18th-20th.  Actual tryouts will be held on April 20th beginning at 2 p.m. Everyone trying out must bring a letter of acceptance into Clemson University, a physical, and a completed waiver form with them on April 18th.  All participants will learn an edited version of the fight song, a dance, and a cheer at the clinic.  Everyone will also get a chance to stunt with others and tumble.  Those that are selected to be Clemson University Cheerleaders in the Spring will be REQUIRED to attend a workweek in June, July, and attend camp in August (Date and Time TBA).   You are NOT ALLOWED to tryout for both the Orange and the White squad in the spring due to camp purposes.
