Clemson Announces 2004 Baseball Radio Broadcast Team & Schedule

Jan. 30, 2004

The Clemson Tiger Sports Network has announced its broadcast schedule for the 2004 baseball season. It will broadcast 34 regular-season games, including all 24 conference games and 10 non-conference games. The network will also broadcast all postseason contests.

Don Munson will handle play-by-play duties in his first year with Tiger baseball. Munson rejoined the network in 2003 after serving for several years as network host in the mid to late 1990’s. He has also served as the play-by-play announcer for Appalachian State and UNC Asheville basketball, while also calling Western Carolina football and basketball games. Munson was the sports director at WATA-AM in Boone, NC from 1984-87 and was later the sports director at WHKP-AM in Henderson, NC. He is currently the play-by-play announcer for Clemson’s Lady Tiger basketball.

Bob Mahony will join Munson in the booth this season, marking his 16th year as color commentator for Tiger baseball. The former Tiger player also serves as the Associate Executive Director of IPTAY.

The pair will be on air 15 minute prior to the start of each contest and will have comments and strategies from Clemson Head Coach Jack Leggett.
