Clemson and #20 Boston College Tie 0-0

NEWTON, MA—Clemson and #20 Boston College played to a 0-0 draw in an Atlantic Coast Conference men’s soccer match at Newton, MA Saturday night. Clemson is now 4-7-3 overall and 2-2-2 in the ACC.  Boston College now has a 7-3-3 record overall and a 2-1-2 mark in the ACC.    The Eagles are ranked 20th nationally according to the latest Soccer America poll.   The Tigers’ goalkeeper Cody Mizell had two saves as he earned his third shut out of the season.     The Tigers have shut out five teams this season.        The overall series is now tied 3-3-3 with the first match being played between the two schools in 2005.    Clemson has two home matches this coming week.  The Tigers will play host to Gardner-Webb on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.    On Friday night, Clemson will commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the 1987 National Championship Team as the Tigers play host to San Diego State at 7:00 p.m.    Clemson defeated the Aztecs 2-0 in the 1987 National Championship game on December 6, 1987 at Historic Riggs Field.    Shots:  Clemson 4, Boston College 14 Corner Kicks:  Clemson 4, Boston College 6 Saves:   Cody Mizell (CU) 2, Justin Luthy (BC) 0 Fouls:  Clemson 11, Boston College 9
