Clemson adds women’s basketball signee

CLEMSON, SC-Moreemi Davis has signed a national letter-of-intent to play women’s basketball at Clemson as announced by Jim DavisThursday.

Davis a 6”3″ forward/center attends Perry High school and played for Coach John Chance.

Davis ended her career at Perry by averaging 16 points, 10 rebounds and three steals a game. She was named to the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class AAA all-state team and was a McDonald’s All-America nominee.

Recently, she was named All-Middle Georgia Girls Basketball Player of the Year. Davis also played in the North South All-Star game and was named All-Middle Georgia in 2002, 2003 and 2004.

Davis led her team to the state finals her junior year in 2003.

“Moreemi gives us an great inside presence,” said Clemson Head Coach Jim Davis. “She is very athletic, has good hands, and catches the ball well. Moreemi will give us much needed help in rebounding.”
