A junior from Newnan, Ga., Chad Carson teams with Keith Adams to form one of the top linebacking duos in the nation. Carson leads 8-2 Clemson in tackles with 128, including eight for loss and three sacks. Carson made a career-high 22 tackles against Georgia Tech two weeks ago.
In the Tigers’ loss to Florida State last week, Carson passed Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro Levon Kirkland on the school’s all-time tackle list. He was a second-team Academic All-America in 1999 and has a 3.94 GPA in biological sciences.
