Glenn Rountree…OG…6-3…305…Suffolk, VA

In 1997: First-team All-ACC in 1997 after earning second-team honors in 1996…became the first player in Clemson history to play more than 3000 plays in a career when he played 50 against Auburn, giving him 3048 for his career….his 754 last year ranked third to Jim Bundren’s and Holland Postell’s total for this season…Rountree missed some playing time due to an ankle injury this year and had surgery to correct the problem after the South Carolina game, he was totally healthy for the Auburn game….started all 47 games of his for year career at Clemson, tied for the most consecutive starts by a Clemson offensive lineman in Clemson history…his 47 total starts ties Eric Harmon’s record for a Clemson offensive guard and joins Harmon and Jim Bundren as all-time leaders for any offensive lineman…ACC player of the week for his performance against NC State…had 85 percent grade in that contest to help Clemson offense gain 435 yards of total offense…a big reason Clemson has finished in the top two in the ACC in rushing the last three years…first-team Successful Farming All-American for the second straight year…a graduate student who is pursuing a master’s degree…his pass blocking last year contributed to Clemson setting a school record for passing yardage, completions and completion percentage in a season….one of the few married players on the Clemson team, he was married last summer (Renee)…his blocking is a major reason Raymond Priester has set 18 Clemson records over the last four years…grew up on a 500 acre farm in Virginia…participated in the NFL combine in Indianapolis in February…

In 1995: Started all 12 games and played 788 snaps…had seven knockdown blocks against Florida State in helping Clemson score 26 points against the Seminoles…had 40 knockdowns for the season…

In 1994: Started every game, one of just six freshmen in Clemson to do that since 19890…had 41 knockdown blocks for the season…red-shirted the 1993 season so he made three trips to the Peach Bowl…born 11-24-73.
