Tickets

Price:  $16.00 (The participant’s ticket is included in the registration fee.) Tickets, at the group rate of $16.00, are to be reserved for immediate family members only.  If families wish to purchase additional tickets, please call our ticket office at 1-800-CLEMSON.

Distribution of Tickets:  Tickets will be distributed at the clinic during registration.

Location:  The ticket office will try there best to seat everyone together.  However, Clemson does have a large number of season ticket holders (approximately 57,000) and season ticket requests will be filled first.  There are a limited number of tickets located in the lower level (these seats may be scattered); the rest of the seats will be located in the upper North stands.  Seating will be based on registration date.  The earlier you register, the better your chances of receiving seating in the lower level.  If you wish to sit next to someone, please specify the party, by name, you wish to sit next to when turning in your registration form (Example:  If you register and are the #2 person and want to sit next to the #25 person, the higher number registrant, which is #2, will have to move down in seating order next to the #25 registrant). If you are granted upper deck tickets, you will be permitted to enter the lower level only to view your child on the field.  Parents will be given wristbands, which must be worn to be able to enter through Gate 11.  We ask that you stay in the West Stands area.  For all parents who stand in the West Stands for photos, please move immediately following your child’s performance in respect for season ticket holders in that area.

Parking

PARENTS OF PARTICIPANTS MAY NOT PARK THEIR CAR IN LOT 4 (UNLESS YOU HAVE A VALID PASS) OR DRIVE TO THE INDOOR TRACK TO DROP OFF YOUR CHILD!!  PLEASE ADHERE TO ALL PARKING REGULATIONS.  CARS WILL BE TOWED, AT THE OWNER’S EXPENSE, IF PARKED IN A RESTRICTED AREA.

IPTAY Donor with parking placard:  Donors may park in their designated parking spot, but will have to walk their child to the Indoor Track.  We recommend that a donor with a parking pass park at the YMCA during registration and ride the shuttle free of charge.  After registration is completed, the bus will be able to shuttle donors back to the YMCA so they may drive to their designated parking spot.

If no parking placard:  Please park in the YMCA lot located on Highway 93.  Shuttles will pick-up your child and immediate family and drive them to the Indoor Track free of charge.

Shuttle Times & Info: Busses will run ½ hour before registration and ending ½ hour after registration (2 hours total) from the YMCA parking lot on Highway 93 to the Indoor Track for pick/drop off of Cheer Clinic participants and their immediate families.  Please bring your confirmation form (being sent by e-mail) to the shuttle with you.  The bus will drive to the Indoor Track and turn around.  The bus will take parents back to their cars at the YMCA after they have completed registration at the track.  A pass (this is different from the confirmation e-mail) will be issued during registration to allow cheer participants and their families to ride the shuttles back to the YMCA after the game.  Shuttles depart below the McFadden Center located on Perimeter Road.

Performances

All the participants will be walked to the stadium from the Indoor Track in the “Parade of Cheerleaders” and will be monitored until they are finished performing during pre-game.  After your child performs during pre-game, you will need to pick your child up at the Littlejohn Annex Gym immediately after the pre-game performance.  All participants will perform at pre-game due to the fact that SC State is bringing their band to perform during the halftime show.

Parents will be given wristbands to ensure that they can re-enter the stadium after picking up their children following the on-field performance and to enter through Gate 11 for viewing in the West Stands area.

Performances during the clinic:  During the “Showcase of Age Groups,” each group will show the others what they have learned throughout the day.  This is a great time for photos and videotaping!  This showcase will be held in the Indoor Track before going to Memorial Stadium.

On-Field Performance (in the West End Zone):  All of the children will be on the field during pre-game.

Child Pick-up after Performance:  All of the participants will be taken to the Littlejohn Coliseum Annex Gym immediately following their on-field performance during pre-game.  Please plan to meet us there to pick up your child after her designated performance time.

  • * We know that this may be inconvenient to you but due to safety concerns we will escort all participants to the Littlejohn practice gym located on the tunnel side of Littlejohn Coliseum immediately following their performance. * Do not attempt to get your child as he or she is leaving the stadium or walking to the practice gym. In order to ensure the safety of your child, the spirit squad members will check your wristband (which you will be given at registration) to make sure you are the guardian who is approved to pick up your child.

Volunteers

We will need volunteers during this event.  Volunteers will be chosen on a first come, first serve basis and will be assigned duties at the discretion of the cheerleading staff.

Only a limited number of parents will be allowed to be on the field during the performance to serve as field supervisors.

Miscellaneous

T-shirts:  Each participant will receive a t-shirt free of charge (included in registration fee).  Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $10 each.  If you do not receive a t-shirt at the clinic, a shirt will be mailed within two weeks.

Meeting Locations: Indoor Track (located 1/4 mile behind Jervey Gym)  – All participants will meet at the Indoor Track during the registration period.  Please see our campus map for further details at http://www.clemson.edu/campusmap/2007_11x17map.pdf.

Littlejohn Coliseum Annex Gym (side door is on Ave. of Champions with a posted sign) – Participants need to be picked-up here immediately after their pre-game performance.

Proper Attire:  Please wear supportive tennis shoes and orange if you do not have a cheerleading outfit.  Please dress your child accordingly since the football game is played outside (better to overdress than under dress).  The t-shirt given out during registration is a souvenir and is not mandatory to wear during the game.

Video Cameras:  YES, they will be allowed…but ONLY during the pre-game performance, please!!!  The university is generous about allowing cameras for this performance.  Thanks for adhering to this request!!
