Athletic Career Services

[ Career Development Services| Recruiting Services| Career Fairs| Workshops]

The Career Enhancement program is a portion of the Student-Athlete Enrichment Programs and works in conjunction with the Michelin Career Center to assist student-athletes in the development of skills necessary to fulfill their goals and compete in the professional world following graduation.

Programs range from career assessment when first enrolled to having a marketable résumé upon graduation.  Career development workshops such as résumé and cover letter writing, job search skills, interviewing, and financial planning are offered to the student-athletes.  An alumni panel also informs them about life after college in graduate school, the work place, or professional athletics.

Individual career services are also offered to the student-athletes.  Career counseling, career assessments, résumé and cover letter critique, job/internship search, and mock interviews are among the services available.  The Career Enhancement program partners with the Michelin Career Center every spring and fall semester to host a career fair for all students.

The goal of the program is for all student-athletes to succeed in the classroom, on the playing field, and following graduation.  We assist in finding part-time employment and internships so the student-athletes can gain hands-on experience prior to the completion of a degree.  We work directly with our compliance office to maintain that all programs abide and are conducted within NCAA legislation.  These programs are designed to assist in the student-athlete’s career development.
