And Here We ? Go!

Can you feel it?

No, not the alarmingly high temperatures that have graced the Upstate the last few weeks.

There’s a hint of Clemson Football in the air. We’ve teased some of it through last week’s #CUShowcase and various offseason training regimens. But unofficially, it all starts Wednesday.

Dabo Swinney and his coaching staff will meet with members of the media tomorrow as part of the program’s annual preseason golf outing at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. Following a morning session with the coaches who won’t play golf, staff and media alike will hit the links for a captain’s choice tournament on the beautiful Jack Nicklaus design. As is tradition, Swinney will play with each group as they come through a par three on the front and back side.

Following the tournament, everyone will be treated to a meal before Swinney meets with the news media in the clubhouse of The Reserve.

The action resumes Saturday, July 18, when Swinney hosts the annual Ladies Clinic on campus from 9 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m. Following that event, the coaches gather their families for photos in Memorial Stadium.

The following day, July 19, seniors Eric Mac Lain (offense) and D.J. Reader (defense) travel to Pinehurst, N.C., for the 2015 ACC Football Kickoff. The two Tiger leaders were chosen to represent the program at the annual media event, which goes through Tuesday, July 21. Mac Lain and Reader will go through the gauntlet of print and digital media interviews on Monday, followed by their head coach on Tuesday.

Swinney’s preseason media tour continues on Monday, July 27 at ESPN’s annual “car wash” at the worldwide leader’s headquarters in Bristol, Conn. Swinney will appear across multiple ESPN programs and platforms over the course of several hours.

Players congregate in the WestZone strength training facility for the always popular “Big Weigh-In” on Monday, Aug. 3. The following day, the 2015 Tigers take to the practice fields for the first time.

Following the excitement of Fan Day on Sunday, Aug. 23, the only step left to take for the Tigers will be kicking the season off against Wofford in Death Valley at 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 5.

And of course, fans can follow each and every event on ClemsonTigers.com and on Twitter and Instagram on the program’s official account, @ClemsonFB.

Surely you can feel it. Clemson Football is just around the corner.
