ACC Tennis Tourney Kicks off April 23

CLEMSON, S.C. – Both the Clemson men’s and women’s tennis teams will begin play in their respective ACC Tennis Tournaments in Norcross, Georgia Friday, April 23.

The Clemson men’s tennis team is seeded third and will face sixth seeded North Carolina at 9:00 a.m. in the 41st Annual ACC Men’s Tennis Tournament.

Clemson has a 19-10 record overall and defeated the Tar Heels 5-2 on April 10. In the North Carolina contest, Clemson’s Head Coach Chuck Kriese won his 500th career match. He is only the 14th coach in college tennis history to win 500 or more career matches.

The Clemson women’s tennis team is seeded seventh and will face second-seeded Wake Forest at 12:00 noon in the 22nd annual event. The Clemson women’s tennis team has 6-14 record overall, and a 2-6 ledger in league play.

Both tournaments will be held at the Racquet Club of the South in Norcross, GA.
