CLEMSON Seventh-seeded Clemson is 16-13 overall, 5-11 and tied with Florida State for seventh in the ACC…Tigers were ranked, by both polls, for nine straight weeks earlier in the season…finished 4-4 in ACC play the second half of the season following a 1-7 start…seniors have started an ACC-high 110 games…second only to UNC in scoring defense (63.6)…seniors Tom Wideman and Harold Jamison have played in 123 consecutive games…Wideman has 662 rebounds and 660 points in his career…Jamison is 6th among ACC career FG pct leaders (.6049)…Terrell McIntyre is fourth on Clemson’s all-time scoring list with 1,718 points…the Tigers are 12-45 (.211) in ACC Tournament play…have won one ACC Tourney game in four of the six years…have been the No. 1 seed only once (1990), losing to Virginia in the semi-finals…3-8 in ACC Tournament games at the Charlotte Coliseum…have won at least one ACC Tournament game 11 times.

DUKE Top-seeded Duke has won 24 in a row and finished the regular reason 29-1 overall, 16-0 and in first place in the ACC…became the first ACC school ever to win 16 league regular season games…had an average winning margin of 24.3 points per game in league play…just the fourth school to win three or more straight outright ACC regular season titles…the Blue Devils have won 22 straight ACC regular season games and owns a 41-3 record in the last 44 such games…Duke leads the ACC in scoring (93.2), scoring margin (25.5) and field goal percentage (.513)…Trajan Langdon has started 119 straight games and has scored in double figures in all but one game this season and leads the ACC in three-point shooting (.432)…Elton Brand leads the ACC in scoring (17.7), field goal percentage (.613) and rebounding (9.9); has a league-high 15 double-doubles with a stretch of seven in his last eight games…Blue Devils have a 57-36 ACC Tournament record, but are only 4-6 since winning the title in 1992..Duke has a 9-7 mark in Charlotte with one title in 1992…won at least one game in 30 Tournaments…Bobby Hurley is second on the all-time Tournament assist leader list with 58…Mike Krzyzewski is 19-14 in Tournament play including three titles (1986, 1988, 1992)…Duke has been the No. 1 seed 13 times.

FLORIDA STATE Eighth-seeded Florida State is 12-16 overall, 5-11 and tied with Clemson for seventh in the ACC…the RPI lists the Seminoles as having played the nation’s toughest schedule to date…after winning five of their first seven ACC games, FSU ended the regular season with nine straight league losses, including a three-point double overtime loss to Georgia Tech and a two-point setback at Wake Forest…sophomore Delvon Arrington is third in the ACC in assists (6.2) while Terrell Baker is second in steals (2.6)…6-8 junior Ron Hale averaged 18.3 points per game in league play and led the team in blocked shots with 26…forward Damous Anderson hit on 79-of-135 (.585) from the floor in 15 ACC games and scored in double figures in 12 of his last 13 games; is three field goals shy of being second in the ACC in all games field goal percentage (.604)…Seminoles are 1-7 after their first seven ACC Tournaments …have lost seven straight after winning their first-ever ACC Tournament game against N.C. State 93-80 in 1992…lost to N.C. State 65-63 in the opening round a year ago… Heisman QB-turned-point guard Charlie Ward earned second-team All-Tournament honors in 1992 …16-14 with one title in 15 Metro Conference Tournaments prior to joining the ACC.

GEORGIA TECH Sixth-seeded Georgia Tech is 15-14 overall, 6-10 and tied with N.C. State for fifth in the ACC…Tech’s schedule is rated as the nation’s 15th toughest by the RPI…after only 62 career games, sophomore center Alvin Jones is already Tech’s all-time shot blocking leader and eighth on the ACC career list with 247 rejections …Jones is second in the ACC with 10 double-doubles, including six in ACC play…junior Jason Collier is second in the ACC in scoring (17.6), seventh in rebounds (7.1), ninth in FG pct (.448) and eighth in blocked shots (1.4)…in ACC games only, sophomore guard T.J. Vines leads the ACC in 3-point FG pct (.490)…Three-time ACC champ after winning the ACC Tournament in 1993 as the No. 6 seed… Yellow Jackets are 15-16 in ACC Tournament play, including a 7-3 mark in Charlotte with two title in 1990 and 1993…11-11 in Tournament play since 1985 including a 10-2 mark when a No. 3-seed or higher… Bobby Cremins is 15-14 in the ACC Tournament play as a coach and 4-3 as a player.

MARYLAND The second-seeded Terps have won six in a row and are 25-4 overall, 13-3 and second in the ACC…the RPI lists the Terps as having played the nation’s 14th-toughest schedule…the 13 conference victories and six league road wins are school records…Maryland has defeated four Top 10 teams this season…set a new ACC record for steals in a season with 373…second in the ACC in field goal percentage (.504), the team’s highest FG% mark since the 1987-88 season…Terps have won 23 of their last 32 ACC games…Laron Profit is tied with Duke’s Christian Laettner for seventh place on the ACC’s all-time steal list with 243…Gary Williams has 396 career wins in 21 seasons…over the last four games of the regular season, guard Steve Francis averaged 22.8 points, 5.5 steals, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while hitting on 34-of-50 field goal attempts (.680); Francis leads the ACC in steals (2.9)…Terps are 32-42 in ACC Tournament play, with a 2-7 mark in Charlotte…won at least one game in nine of the last 10 Tournaments…won two ACC titles (1984, 1958)…No. 1 seed twice (1975, 1980)…Williams is 6-8 as a coach in ACC Tournament play and 1-3 as a player for the Terps in 1965-67.

NORTH CAROLINA Third-seeded North Carolina is 22-8 overall, 10-6 and third in the ACC against the nation’s ninth- toughest schedule according to the RPI…the Tar Heels have posted an NCAA-record 30 straight season of 20 wins or more…UNC has finished at least third in the ACC regular season standings 35 consecutive years…Tar Heels lead the ACC in rebounding margin (+9.5) …UNC’s game with Georgia Tech will mark the 311th straight game that the Tar Heels have played as an AP-ranked team; the ACC record is 319 set by UNC between Dec. 5, 1973 and Dec. 20, 1983…Ademola Okulaja is the 48th Tar Heel to score at least 1,000 career points; Kentucky is second with 47 1,000-point scorers…Ed Cota is 10th on the ACC’s all-time assist list with 707 assists; needs only two more assists to move past Duke’s Tommy Amaker (1984-87) and into ninth place…The Tar Heels are the winningest team in ACC Tournament history with a 70-29 record, including a 16-4 mark in Charlotte… UNC leads all ACC teams with 15 titles…won at least one game in the Tournament a league-high 32 times…UNC has been in the ACC title game eight of the last 11 years and 25 times overall…the Tar Heels are 30-9 in the quarterfinals, 25- 10 in semis and 15-10 in the ACC title game.

NC STATE Fifth-seeded N.C. State is 17-12 overall, 6-10 and tied for fifth in the ACC…the Wolfpack lead the ACC in bench scoring with 34.7% of its scoring coming from non-starters…N.C. State is fourth in the ACC in rebound margin (+6.3) despite not having one player ranked among the league’s Top 10 rebound leaders; the Wolfpack has been out- rebounded in only four of their 29 games this season…Adam Harrington is averaging 12.0 points per game and is bidding to become the first freshman ever to lead N.C. State in scoring; Kenny Inge is second with an 11.6 per game average…sophomore F Damon Thornton is averaging 6.8 points per game while hitting on 72-of-125 (.576) field goal attempts…third winningest team in Tournament history with a 49-35 (.583) mark…in 1997, became the first No. 8 seed in ACC Tournament history to reach the title game; knocked off the No. 9, No. 1 and No. 5 seeds enroute to the championship contest…6-7 in ACC Tournament play in Charlotte…second only to North Carolina with ten ACC titles…last title run came as a No. 6 seed in 1987… Wolfpack are 23-20 in their opening Tournament game and have won at least one Tournament game 26 times.

VIRGINIA Ninth-seeded Virginia is 14-15 overall, 4-12 and ninth in the ACC…the Cavaliers schedule is rated as the nation’s 30th toughest by the RPI…UVa finished the regular season with a one-point loss to North Carolina and a six-point overtime setback to Georgia Tech… freshman Chris Williams is seventh in the ACC in scoring (16.9), fifth in rebounding (7.4) and fourth in field goal percentage (.514); has scored in double figures in 26 of his 29 games…another Cavalier freshman, Adam Hall, has averaged 15.3 points over his last three games and is third on the team in scoring (10.8)…Donald Hand leads the team in scoring (17.2) and assists (4.1)…Hand, who averaged only 4.7 points per game a year ago, leads the ACC in free throw percentage (.866)…the Cavaliers are bidding to lead the ACC in free throw percentage (.733) for the first time since the 1978- 79 season…Cavaliers are 27-44 in Tournament play and 7-8 in Charlotte…have won at least one game in eight of the last 12 Tournaments and 20 times overall…the school’s only ACC title came in 1976 when they became the first sixth-seeded team to win the ACC title…the Cavaliers have been to the title game only once since 1984 (1994) and six times overall…UVa has had only one ACC Tournament MVP -Wally Walker in 1976.

WAKE FOREST Fourth-seeded Wake Forest is 16-12 overall and fourth in the ACC with a 7-9 league record, marking the seventh-straight year that the Deacons have finished in the top half of the ACC standings (4th place or higher including ties)….Wake leads the ACC with 55 starts by freshmen; 93 percent (130-of-140) of the Deacons starters this year have been freshmen or sophomores….Robert O’Kelley, the team’s leading scorer (17.4) is the only Deacon to have started all 28 games and has led the team in scoring 17 times…Wake has trailed in the second half in nine of its 16 wins this season…sophomore Rafael Viduaretta has been the team’s top rebounder in 13 of the last 16 games and leads the team in rebounding (6.6)… in ACC games only, the Deacons have hit on .745 of their free throw attempts (260-of-349)…Deacons are 36-41 in ACC Tournament play, including a 3-8 record in Charlotte …Wake’s first two ACC titles came back-to-back in 1961 and 1962… ended a 33-year title drought with 1995’s 82-80 overtime win over North Carolina …Deacs have won at least one game 23 times…won two-or-more tournament games five straight years (1960-64)…Deacons have had five ACC Tournament MVPs.
