The women’s swim team posted the highest team GPA in the Spring semester with a 3.19, which was also a team record. There were 21 swimmers who made the academic honor roll, including 12 dean’s list achievers. The 21 student-athletes on the honor roll for the Spring semester were an all-time high.
SWIM COACHES ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA The College Swim Coaches Association of America recognized five Clemson women on its 1997 Academic All-America Teams. Lisa Bartlett, Sarah Borowski, Magdalena Kupiec, Jennifer Mihalik, and Amy Suppinger were all named to the Academic All-America Division I Honorable Mention Team.
The team recognized those swimmers who exhibit strong academic and athletic abilities during the year.
The women’s swimming and diving team ranked 29th nationally for its cumulative GPA of 3.19. Clemson was ranked the highest of all ACC schools.
