#9 Clemson Men’s Soccer Will Play Pittsburgh Friday Night

CLEMSON, SC – The ninth-ranked Clemson men’s soccer team will play host to Pittsburgh in an Atlantic Coast Conference match on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field.  Clemson has an 8-3-2 record overall and a 3-2-2 mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Tigers are led in scoring by Thomas McNamara with six goals and six assists for 18 points. Ara Amirkhanian has six goals and one assist for 13 points.  McNamara was named ACC Player-of-the-Week for his performance last week in the North Carolina and Wake Forest contests.Pittsburgh has a 0-7-4 record overall and a 0-5-2 mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference.  The Panthers are led in scoring by Ryan Myers with one goal and two assists forfour points.

This will be the first meeting between the two schools in men’s soccer.

The game has been designated as Clemson Men’s Soccer Alumni Reunion Night.  Many former players are expected to be in attendance at the match.
