Clemson Notes:

  • The Tigers are 7-5 on the season and 5-2 in ACC play, and are ranked 21st in the nation according to the ITA poll released on March 15.
  • Clemson is coming off two-straight ACC wins at home, a 6-1 victory over Florida State on March 12 and a 4-3 in over #30 Syracuse on March 13.
  • Freshman Ayan Broomfield is 8-4 in dual matches this season, and 6-2 since moving up to the No. 1 singles position on Feb. 20. Broomfield was named the ACC Player of the Week this past week after her performances against the Seminoles and the Orange.
  • Clemson’s No. 3 doubles team of senior Joana Eidukonyte and sophomore Daniela Ruiz is 7-1 on the season, and 5-1 in ACC doubles matches.

Stanford Notes:

  • Stanford is 7-3 overall and 2-1 in the Pac-12, and is ranked 17th nationally in the most recent ITA poll.
  • The Cardinal’s most recent contest was a 5-1 win over UCLA on March 12 in Stanford.
  • Clemson is 0-11 against Stanford all-time.
  • The last time the two teams met was on Feb. 23, 2013 in Gainesville, Fla., a 5-2 win for the Cardinal. In that contest, Tristen Dewar, a freshman at the time, was one of two Tigers to win a singles match, as she defeated her Stanford opponent at No. 6 singles.
