2005 Clemson Indoor Throws Fest Series Clemson Indoor Track Complex January 23rd and February 13th, 2005

Tentative Schedule: 1:30PM Women’s Weight Throw (followed by Youth and Masters) 2:30PM Women’s Shot Put (followed by Youth and Masters) 3:30PM Men’s Weight Throw (followed by Youth and Masters) 4:30PM Men’s Shot Put (followed by Youth and Masters)

Facility: Two throwing areas may be used to assure the completion of the meet in a timely fashion. We have a portable shot ring (legal height of platform) that we may locate on the infield for conducting the shot. This circle is texture-painted plywood and is ideal for the spinner or glider. The weight throws will be conducted at the permanent circle, located outside the track perimeter, which is concrete and is fully enclosed by fencing. This circle is considered fast.

Conduct of Meet: This meet is USATF sanctioned, and will be run according to USATF rules.

Entry: will be done the day of the meet, starting at 1PM. There will be no pre-entry.

Entry fee: $10 per athlete, paid by check only. Make check payable to “CUAD.” No cash will be accepted!

Athlete check in: All athletes must check in with the Event Official at least 30 minutes prior to the start of that event to be entered. If the athlete has not declared intent to compete and checked in by that time, the athlete will be scratched from the event.

Shot Put: Each athlete will be allowed 3 attempts. Top nine throwers in each category will advance to the finals and receive three more attempts. Facility Records Men: 20.32m Reese Hoffa (New York Athletic Club) 2003 Women: 18.28m Laura Gerraughty (UNC-Chapel Hill) 2004

Implement Weigh-In: All throwing implements must be weighed-in prior to the start of the event. The weigh-in table is located adjacent to the throwing area. Limited equipment will be supplied by the meet director. Softshell weights and Indoor shots only please.
