#14 Clemson Will Play Host to Boston College Friday Night

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s soccer team will play host to Boston College Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. in an Atlantic Coast Conference match at Historic Riggs Field on the Tigers’ campus. Clemson has a 9-4-2 record on the year, and a 4-2-2 mark in the ACC. Clemson is led in scoring by Thomas McNamara with seven goals and six assists for 20 points. Teammate Ara Amirkhanian has six goals and one assist for 13 points. Boston College has a 6-5-2 record overall and a 3-4-1 mark in the ACC. On Tuesday, October 22, the Eagles defeatedHarvard 3-2. Zeiko Leis leads Boston College in scoring with two goals and eight assists for 12 points. Diego Medina-Mendez has two goals and five assists for nine points this season. This will be the 11th meeting between Clemson and Boston College on the soccer field. The series is tied 3-3-4. Last year, the two teams tied 0-0 on two occasions. During the regular season, there was a scoreless tie on October 13, at Boston College. On November 6, 2012 the two teams again had a scoreless tie in the first round of the ACC tournament. Over the years, both teams have given up seven goals to each other.

The match has been designated as Family Night.  A special $10 ticket package will be available that includes 2 adult and 2 youth (18 & under) tickets.
